I grew up immersed in the world of housing restoration and real estate, which led me to acquire my NC Real Estate broker’s license. The things I like most about working with J&J Custom Homes is that our team works well with each other and maintains such a pleasant working atmosphere. They are very supportive and kind, yet industrious. Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, playing soccer, and spending quality time with my friends and family.

I was born and raised in North Carolina and it is very special to be able to help build beautiful homes in the state that I love. Even getting to build homes just down the street from my alma mater Charlotte Latin has been such a unique experience! I grew up around the construction world because of the family business but never would’ve dreamed that I actually would end up becoming one of the youngest licensed contractors in the Carolinas. My favorite part of working at J&J is not just seeing a house getting built, but also seeing a house become a home before my eyes. It’s a privilege to get to work with great people and to learn from so many experienced individuals!

I was born and raised in Germany and now make North Carolina my second home with my husband, who I share two beautiful daughters with. I am very enthusiastic about real estate and home design, and am always looking for creative solutions within the home buying process. As a family person and self-avowed homebody (even though I love to travel), I want a home to feel cozy and inviting for myself as well as everyone I can serve in my career. A career that you enjoy does not feel like work!

I began my building career in the early 1990’s with the support of having family in the business. This advantage put me on the fast track to luxury home building. For the past 30 years I have had the opportunity to work in many different places around the country including North Carolina, New York, Massachusetts, Texas and California. Traveling to such diverse regions has greatly expanded my horizons of design and construction methods, which has significantly enhanced my creativity when it comes to problem solving in the field. On a daily basis I am privileged to see the progress and feel the accomplishment of the goals that are being met. It is amazing to be part of the J&J team, where we strive to provide superior quality, cutting edge design, and communication beyond expectations. Being part of a solely-owned, family business, where every voice counts and all opinions are welcomed, is a great feeling.

Several years ago I traded my fast-paced life in The Big Apple and other parts of New York for some sweet southern living, a better quality of life, and to be close to family. I had spent the better part of two decades working in accounting & finance with the latter half of that time concentrating on real estate, financing, and investing. I love working for J&J Custom Homes because it allows me the privilege of having the best of both worlds; working within both of my passions; accounting, and real estate. I am able to do what I love, using my experience to contribute to the growth of an already successful company while enjoying the culture of being in a family environment. Outside of work, I love being outdoors, spending time with my family, and I am a Jeep, classic muscle car, and motorcycle enthusiast. Our two rescue German Shepherds keep me on my toes, although our rescue kitty does rule the house!

I grew up in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, known for manufacturing Martin Guitars and being the home of Indy car drivers Mario and Michael Andretti (whom I babysat as a young boy). After watching my father and assisting him and his extended family in the residential construction business, I found myself following in their footsteps. I have been in the building industry for more than 25 years and have started and managed two residential building companies in the Charlotte area. I was drawn to J&J Custom Homes because it is a small, but growing family business that has the same values as I do: Quality, Integrity and the belief in Teamwork. Everyone here at J&J Custom Homes works together and has similar goals. We work hard and have fun while doing what we love. Outside of building custom homes, I enjoy golfing, tennis, and biking.

When I started J&J, my two main goals were to be able to do something that made me feel happy and fulfilled while simultaneously providing people with something I could confidently do well. In my case, building homes fits that description! For over 27 years I have been in this industry. From real estate brokerage, to co-owning with my husband, our Roofing and Construction company Alpha and Omega, to even building and designing our own family’s home… working with homes is what I do! As a mother and a wife, I know how much a home means to me. It’s a staple in life, a constant. Ours has been with me from kindergarten play dates, high school graduation parties and now balcony dinners as empty nesters. A home is more than a place, it’s a haven for memories. For that reason, I love that I can help people find their highest quality dream home in order for them to create those memories.
